1.  What does the inscription on the emblem mean?

 

Magnanimiter Crucem Sustine is Latin for "With heart, mind, and spirit, uphold and bear the cross."

2.  What are the duties and responsibilities of a Daughter?

 

A Daughter will love God and have affection for her neighbors, she will pray regularly and unceasingly, as she serves the King in and through the church. She follows a daily Rule of Life, fulfilling the vows of Prayer and Service; she undertakes a personal program of Evangelism.

3.  Why doesn't the Daughters obtain funding outside of the Order.. ?

 

One of the ways that the Daughters can truly love and support one another is through self funding.  We have the National Dues, the Master's fund, Endowment Fund,  and the Self-Denial Fund.

 

Individual contributions may be made at any time to any of the funds and gifts from those who are not Daughters are welcomed.

Margaret is founder of the DOK on Easter Eve, April 4, 1885.  Rev Kenyon was the Grand Chaplain.

What is the Royal Cross?

 

The Royal Cross is the national publication which began in 1892,  Elizabeth Ryerson, editor.   It began as a monthly publication. ($0.50.)

When is the ingathering of the Endowment Fund?

 

All Saint's Day, November 1, is set aside for the in-gathering of this fund.  There are several ways it can be funded.  Memorials, Thanksgivings, bequests, special gifts, and the Lifetime Membership donation.
