Monthly Meeting:  August 07, 2008

Twelve members of St. Agnes chapter met in the Chapel for Holy Eucharist (Fr Craig Kallio celebrant; Brenda, acolyte/chalice bearer, and Charmaine, lector).

Jackie ball presided at the business meeting held in the Pollard Room.  Diocesan DOK President Jamie P.g, scheduled to speak, was unable to attend the meeting.

Copies of the Schedule for Daughters of the King: August to December 2008 were distributed.  A guide: History and Description of the Labyrinth from the Labyrinth guild of St. John's Cathedral, Knoxville, will be in the DOK box for members to make a personal copy.  Please return the original.  the guide was given to those members who attended the Spring Assembly.

A report from the Treasurer's office stated a current balance of $150.00 is in the chapter's account.

Esther, Jackie, Mary Ellen and Peggy will write the Bereavement cards for august.

Doreen thanked members who had helped with the reception following the Dick Huber funeral.

Jackie continued with the updates from members present regarding their wishes for disposition of their cross after their death.

Charmaine demonstrated a computer presentation of the chapter's new DOK website; stagnesdok.com, which she has constructed, now on-line, yet is still a "work in progress".  The site includes pictures in color which she and historian Margaret Baldauf had selected of members at various events and sites of service; letters submitted by members telling of their ministries; reprints of talks at Quiet Days, and pictures of daughters at prayer and service.  Everyone agreed that Charmaine had done an outstanding job and that the site with its slide show in color should be linked to ht church's web page for parishioners to enjoy.

Members closed the meeting wiht the Mizpah benediction.

Respectfully submitted,

Betty Davis, acting secretary
