Monthly Meeting: April 03, 2008
Twelve members met in Chapel for Holy Eucharist. Fr. Craig, celebrant; Doreen, acolyte/chalice and Jeanne, lector.
Mary Charles joined us as an applicant for the DOK membership.
The meeting was chaired by Barbara S. as Jackie was absent. Susan gave the treasurers report - we have a balance of $972.00. Doreen reported that Mackenzie H. is building an archery range at Grace point for his Eagle scout project. She made a motion that we give $300 to Mackenzie to help with funding. Motion seconded and passed. Jeanne made a motion that we leave it up to our treasurer's discretion to give extra money for the youth mission trip to DC, if they need it. Motion seconded and passed. Jeanne will write the bereavement cards this month. Mary Ellen brought up the need for volunteers at the Hospitality House. People are desperately needed both inside and out. If you have some time to spare, please consider volunteering. Bonnie was our speaker and talked about he Altar Guild. St. Stephens has 4 teams that rotate weekly. when on, a team take care of setting up and taking down for all services that week. Bonnie likes to call it "stealth ministry" - people don't tend to notice this work unless you do not do it. Meeting was adjourned with the Mispah Benediction.
